Main International Competitors
The main competitors are IriScan as a system supplier and LG and Panasonic as hardware vendors. Their primary advantage is strong market experience over many years with hardware capability and market acceptance. Their main disadvantages are no localization in China, their software systems are not always configurable and they will be restricted by State Security Policy if applied in China.
Domestic Competitors
The main local competitor is a company called PATTEK.They are however early stage players and are only just researching into the iris identification algorithms. Their main advantage is that their arithmetic algorithms will be adjusted to Chinese policies.Their disadvantages are that they have no specific hardware, certainly no industrialized hardware and no current industrial application.
